The Irish Institute of Mental Health Nursing operates an un-moderated e-mail list group. Please use this for discussion of general issues of concern to or in relation to mental health nursing.

To join simply send a blank message to elist-subscribe@iimhn.org.Your application will be vetted by the list owner and once approved you will be invited to confirm your e-mail address.

To send a message to all the people subscribed to the list send your message to elist@iimhn.org.

Once subscribed there are a range of different commands you can use to interact with the list:

Here are a few other commands supported:

To get the last 100 headers in the archive send a message to: elist-index@iimhn.org

To get messages 123 through 145 (a maximum of 100 per request), mail: elist-get.123_145@iimhn.org

To get an index with subject and author for messages 123-456, mail: elist-index.123_456@iimhn.org

To receive all messages with the same subject as message 12345, send an empty message to: elist-thread.12345@iimhn.org

The messages do not really need to be empty, but the content will be ignored. Only the ADDRESS you send to is important.

You can start a subscription for an alternate address, for example "john@host.domain", just add a hyphen and your address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word: elist-subscribe-john=host.domain@iimhn.org

To stop subscription for this address, mail: elist-unsubscribe-john=host.domain@iimhn.org
